    Hey guys.

Im a founding member and regular gamer on unitedoperations.net.

Were the home of ACRE and play with ARMA2 CO + ACE + Our own mod folder (A few shack tack addons, islands etc)

We constantly reach out to other communitys to come game with us and I mentioned this one to our PR officer. (we arent some weird community with cpl's, sgt's etc....we use the term officer instead of admin. And have many different types of officer for different roles).

If you guys would be interested in having a split community event let me know!
Event will be hosted on our server and will be a mix of COOP and TVT, leaning towards more COOP. (although were having a TvT event this Saturday).

If your interested drop me a PM and we can set a date/time!

    Cheers.

Awesome guys. We only have three irish members (me, a guy in Offaly and one in Dublin). Beer is a requirement for playing :)

You guys use ACE yeah? We use yoma sync to set up our stuff and our mod folder is a bit big but I can get it setup so we only play missions on maps that you already have downloaded if you dont want to DL more stuff.

Also, are ye familiar with ACRE?

EDIT: Also I was looking at a XFX ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express. It benchmarks better on some games than the one I already mentioned. So im a bit on the fence about which one to go for.

This would be great, we'd love to join up for a game. Our community dwindled for a but but there's been great interest lately, gained a few newcomers now too.

We mostly play coops and domi, no pvp but its something we'd like to try. We sometimes use Ace but not much lately as We've some n00bs just joined us and like to minimize mods. Never tried Acre, but I've have read the great reports about it, we've mumble running on our server, which works great but I'd be very willing to try TS2 and Acre. Most of Us use Yoma and would have most of the mods and maps You guys use. Can I get the link to Your Yoma repo?

Mumble is better than Acre, its a good idea but ultimatley uses TS which is crap compared to Mumble.

Join tomorrow night for Drunkination*, we have our own server.

All matches called off so i have no limits!!

 We've never used the new one. I've heard great things about the new Teamspeak 3 which is supposedly much better than Mumble and has more features. Clans are already dropping Mumble for it

I use TS3 for Battlefield, still reckon mumble is better for clarity and latency plus TS3 isnt free and we dont overload our mumble :D

Hey guys, ignore that graphics card question above, I edited the wrong post!!!

The newest version of ACRE is the 1.1.0 STABLE release. Ive used mumble for BF2 and loved it. However ACRE simulates actual radios with tunable frequencies, static, max distance, terrain interference etc.

Its really a great plugin but takes some getting used too.

We follow realistic comm structure while gaming but it doesnt matter if your not used too it. Simply putting Over or OUT at the end of your sentence is good enough.

Ill try drop in tonight to yer server if im not down the local, although i am quiet thirsty.

We currently run our own TS3 server with the bandwidth allocation for the game channels set to high so the quality is good.

Im at work at the moment so ill get you our yoma link and required reading page links when I get home.

    See ye soon!

Hey guys. Sorry I couldnt make it last night, i got into a frenzy in world of tanks and a case of stella artois :)

    Heres our yoma link: http://srv1.unitedoperations.net/updates/uo.zip
We have not changed our DL link on the page for ACRE but heres a direct link: Package: http://raceriv.com/arma2/acre/ACRE_V1.1.0.234.rar
    Installer: http://raceriv.com/arma2/acre/ACRE_V1.1.0.234.exe

Some people, like me, run into problems with the installer. If it fails, use the manual install. Although manually installing it fo the first time when your not used to it is a pain in the ass :D

Anyway: ill try drop in later to the server, let me know when ye are available for a join op on our server. (im not around 17th 18th 19th this month)

Whats your server called/IP? we can drop by.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,401 ✭✭✭Arcto

    Filter unitedoperations.net

    Or just unitedoperations.

Password is available on teamspeak 3 server and you gotta be on the TS3 server to play! (as we dont use ingame VON, only in admin roles)

Drop by the website for all set up instructions, see ye soon. I better go to bed now as another sunday has slipped into monday while gaming....and ive work in a few hours. Doh!
