    Hi
sorry if this seems like a stupid question.
I had a problem where my windscreen wipers were not working.
Turns out it is a linkage problem. I brought it to a mechanic and wipers fixed.
However when I switch on the water pump, no water comes out- the wipers just start going at full speed.
I don't know if water just frozen but I can't remember now should the wipers come on automatically when you switch the water pump on.
Just want to check before I ring the mechanic back and make a fool out of myself!!
    Thanks a million

Yep wipers come on when you squirt the water..

Add some warm water to the water resevoir for the screen wash..

The wipers have come on in every car I have driven.

The water is probably frozen somewhere. Probably just a small bit that is stuck in the pipe. Happened to me last year. Once the engine had heated up it started working again.

Ok thanks for the replies! That has reassured me.won't ring him so. It just didn't feel like it usually did, but maybe that's just because the water didn't spray. Or maybe the linkage was always wrong!!
