Pity they couldn't have learnt from last year and installed some communication procedures (like using twitter/facebook/or even a press release) to accuracy give out information to their customers, like which happened yesterday.

Why do Dublin Bus never put the radio on for everyone?

CIE was deadly, sure there was dancing and free tea and biscuits.

Also, you could tell he conductor you just got on, when you had been sitting there an hour.

    What's this thread about?

I'd be more inclined to thank the Dublinbus drivers rather than the company for getting us home...

Just wanted to say fair play to the driver above and I hope he reads this forum.

Was on my way into Dunboyne this morning when I came across this: There was a van slightly out into the road stuck trying to get reverse out of a driveway. The bus in question had stopped just before the van and had some traffic stuck behind it. I stopped to give the bus room to get around the van (at the time I hadn't realised the van was spinning out trying to get traction)

The driver of the bus beckoned the van driver to reverse out but the van was going nowhere. So rather than leave the van there and go around it which he had plenty of room to do, the next thing I see is the bus driver leaving his seat, addressing the bus, and the driver and a couple of passengers getting off the bus to go help the van driver out which they did succesfully.

Fair play to all involved. Was very nice to see. :)

They're not biting in the taxi thread, so here goes!;)

Back when bus drivers were real men! (don't think many women were driving buses back then).:D
