    Folks
Hoping you might be able to assist, have a "dead" mondeo here just beside Naas in Kildare, got the rescue crowd to come out to it and try and get it going but no dice.
Now the "local" Ford garage here in Naas, without diagnosis are saying "Oh ya its the timing chain, cost you about 1200 euro". Now I have been on a few Mondeo ST forums and they reckon this is "incorrect diagnosis" and i spoke to my mechanic in Mayo who thinks the same.

Sooooo, I prefer to get home to get my own man, an ex Ford mechanic, to look at it.

I was told that a company called McNamaras do car transport, but I can't find them.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

The name vaguely rings a bell, but if they use the 8/9 car transporters, you are buggered if it's not running. No winch on the big transporters to pull the cars on, so it's a flat bad jobbie, and that's pretty expensive for Naas - Mayo.
