Here's a list of the top ten pirated TV shows on the ****** ***:

1. Chuck
2. Gossip Girl
3. The Event
4. Dexter
5. 90210
6. Lie to Me
7. The Walking Dead
8. Boardwalk Empire
9. Lost Girl
10. True Blood

I'm not surprised by some, but it's the order that shocks!...Gossip Girl #2 :eek:

And 'True Blood' only at #10? That's a suprise considering it's on pay-cable in the US and it's pretty massive worldwide.

I didn't think girls were big downloaders. I wonder are these all boyfriends who had their arms twisted for that junk. It is suprising really, I would have thought shows like The Wire, Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy would be on the list....but I guess either women do download alot or they get their b/fs to do it for them.

I think the top 10 changes each week, i was also surprised The Walking Dead and Boardwalk Empire were not higher up, Chuck being #1 makes perfect sense!, delighted Lost Girl is on the list....such a good show and VERY underrated!!

It's GG and 90210 even IN the list that shocked me, as you ^ say....i didn't think them girls would be downloaders and watch live, even in the UK ITV2 have no delay.

Well, I'm not suprised by 'The Walking Dead' as that's being shown within a week of it's US airing pretty much worldwide.

So I'd say plenty of people just aren't arsed in downloading it.

I'd say it's more the age of these viewers rather than their sex.

90210, GG etc. have a very young fan base and I'm sure the younger people are the main culprits of downloading. They can't wait a day or two to see it in another country, or they just want to watch it over and over and won't wait for the DVD.

Dexter is all. I'm not aware of any channels that show it over here and I generally don't sit down and watch TV. If it was on, it would be SKY+.

Why is 90210 so surprising but not Gossip Girl?

Keeping in mind of course that it's not the ancient 90210 but a rehash that only just started a few years ago.

Because 'Gossip Girl' has it's fan-base and is well-established, albeit mindless.

Whereas I don't even know a single actor / actress from '90210'.. and my exposure to it is minimal.

weird that chuck is the most downloaded, yet the chuck forum is remincent of a ghost town, with most episode debates barely reaching double digit posts, i know the post is slow with the weather, but youd think everyones canadian cousins would have sent the dvds by now,

so the mystery continues,

i would say though that that list is constantly being updated, the last two weeks havent had a lot of tv on due to the american holidays and some shows already gone on winter breaks,

Sir I believe that I have caught thee in a lie, to say that you know no actors from 90210 when the very talented Tristan Wildes aka Michael Lee is one of the stars.

Agreed. The Chuck forum is disappointly quiet these days. Most threads aren't getting past 1 page. Think people discussed Chuck a lot more when it was just a thread on here! It is kind of less effort to check a list of posts in one forum than to go to a specific show forum though..

That list is somewhat surprising though. Given the normal demographic Id assume of downloaders Id expect to see more Supernatural,Stargate etc. and less 90210 and Gossip Girl!

I don't believe the list, it's probably published on the same day or day after some of the shows air. Where's House, or Glee for that matter? Two of the biggest US shows don't even make the list... odd.

^ it's on the next day in the UK/IRL....but you'd still expect it on the list, for worldwide viewers.
