    I don't have all the details i'm afraid, but I briefly saw in my local Dunnes that they had a Philips DVD player for €40 and it stated it could take a USB stick for media playback. They also had a portable DVD player with an unknown brand name for €60 that can take USB or an SD card and specifically mentions being able to play DivX.

    Not a bad price for a bricks and mortar shop, but you'd probably have to get model numbers and do a bit of research to see what they can playback.

    just to let people know, the parents got the Philips dvd player, nice and small but it wont give enough power for an external 2.5" drive, limited to usb stick or similar only
