    Excellent article.:)
It's great to see something positive written from an "outsiders" viewpoint.

Anyone want to fire this article over to the Irish Times to show them what good and comprehensive sports journalism actually looks like?

    (Anyone....anyone...sparks....sparks......bueller.....);)

That's a brilliant piece. Really enjoyed watching that. :)

Any chance we could strap an IT reporter into a .22? :P

On a more serious note, any chance at all? I know we had an RTE reporter from OB sports take a shot at the nationals 3 (?) years ago. I thought the piece from that was pretty good, focused on the actual sport etc. As was the more recent DURC piece.

Obviously we have a better chance of getting screen time on open media, i.e. the internet, but is there any easy way to get lots of people to see that? I doubt many people tune in regularly to Trinity TV, for example.

It was rather nice to see an outsider enjoying themselves, I thought it really captured that competitive streak and the goal of hitting the 10 :)

We did try it with OB sports (which is the Irish version of the BBC program above); but without a PRO pushing this stuff all the time, it doesn't keep happening. Journalists will never come to the PRO, the PRO always has to push convenient, ready-to-go stuff to the journalists at the right time and in the right format to have a chance of making it to the media.
