has anyone here got much info on this scheme. My parents are both pensioners and as far I can tell will qualify for the scheme,I'm wondering does it take long to be granted and if you are entitled is there a long waiting list for the work to be carried out? It's the midlands area that they are in ,if that makes any difference.

    Have a look on www.seai.ie

or call Usher Insulations, they seem to have a good name and I recently got a quote from them - sorry I can't find their number but you can Google them

iirc ,there is only one company that can do the work on this scheme, you don't have a choice it's whoever is covering your area. have sent off the application form .my main query is would it take weeks/months to get a answer back from this organisation.has anyone used this scheme in the past.

My mom got this done a week ago, tool about 5 weeks from submitting the application form to getting the walls pumped and attic insulated. Different house now after the job was done.

Poster above is right, you don't pick the installer, SEI do.

5 weeks isn't bad ,I was half expecting a couple of months waiting time.cheers

I just made an application here in Waterford and its a Cork crowd that cover the area, and I was told it would be up to 3 months before I get a survey carried out, I don't really mind the wait to be honest.

I have an attic ladder to be fitted I wonder would they do this for me?

the survey was carried out today.Parents are eligible for it.The surveyor told them he could do the attic insulation on it's own and it would be done within 3 weeks but would have to wait around 8/9 months to get the cavity walls and attic done together.anyone else have this problem? They agreed to get the attic done now and sort something out about the cavity walls later.

    Just an update:
My Da told me today he got a phone call on Friday telling him the installers would be there Wednesday to do the attic. What was supposed to be done within 3 weeks has taken 15 weeks,I hate to think how long it would take if they were getting the cavity done as well.
