    Hi,

I have to go to Limerick on Friday late afternoon, I cant really abandon it as I have a function that I cant get out of on Saturday... any tips on which way I should go? I don't mind if its not the most direct route - within reason.

    Thanks

    Where are you coming from?

I understand Limerick is relatively snow free. The railways are mostly operating, with some delays.

    Hi,
Came down from Dublin today. Road very bad as far as Kildare but finr from there on. Conditions may change by Fri but your best bet is to leave as early as you can to avoid freezing night temperatures and stick to the M7/N7.

    Use the train .

Thanks for that, forgot to say I'm going from Longford - so train is not really an option.
I had a look on Google Maps and it suggests taking the N55 from edgeworthstown to athlone, then the N62 to Nenagh before joining the N7 to limerick
