Am I depressed?

    Hi! I have posted here before and I think I am depressed.
    Well to begin with I'm an 18 year old male. I know I am gay and I am finding it hard to accept the thing is I feel being gay is ok but I am afraid of what other people will think.
    Well the thing is I am being bulied at school and I feel like crap because of it. The thing is I reported bullying before and the school did nothing about it and it just got made worse.
    I am experience the following things
    I have gained alot of weight in the last year.
    I find it hard to get to sleep just thinking about life.
    When I do I can sleep in for hours.
    When I wake up I think why am I on this plannet. I am just a waste of space and I feel I would be better off dead.
    Any Advice?

    Hi cooltown,

    The only person qualified to attempt a diagnosis re depression is a medical professional, nobody here can tell you if you are depressed. If you are feeling suicidal then you must tell a qualified professional, again, we are not qualified to offer suitable advice.
