Iphone 3GS & Ring Tones

Hi, I purchased ring tones on itunes and i cannot see it in the sounds on my iphone. I went to itunes, sync the phone, cannot find it. I went view - view options there is no ring tone box. Can some one please tell me how do i make a ring tone or add a ring tone to my iphone
