Two Radiators not working!!!

Hello, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My Fiance and I live in a ground floor apartment and about a week ago I noticed the main radiator in the sitting room was only warm at the bottom and freezing at the bottom and top. So being ignorant I assumed this meant I had to bleed the radiator, which I did whilst the heating was off (heard this was what you did). I then noticed that a radiator on the opposite wall was turned off and has always being turned off as its in the main hallway. I turned this on and the same thing happend, when heating was on only the bottom half would heat, bled this again whilst heating was on and now neither radiator will heat at all. In fact the heating system would not turn on and I had to put some more water in and now it will start.

However we have 5 other rads in the apartment that work perfectly except for these which as I said are on either side of each other on the same wall. I know sweet nothing about heating systems so any advice is grealty appreciated.

when you bleed the rads you have to top the system back up with water
bleed the to rads again make sure you get water out of the vent,
then top the system back uo to a bar of pressure there should be a gauge
on the boiler, just sounds like air in the system

Just to update, I tried your advice and all was the same so was about to call in the experts as I said, I have no training at all and worried about maybe damaging the system.

However I found this forum online with a house owner suffering similar symptoms but entirely different heating system (ours is Gas, their's was Oil) however the advice seemed sound enough...If its an air lock then turn off all the other rads except the two with the trouble. Next turn on the heating and gradually bleed all the rads starting from nearest to farthest from the system and sure enough halfway through the rads the system turned itself off, suggesting a loss in pressure. I filled up with more water and started, seen the pressure was 1.5 bars and knew this was about ok and finished off all the rads bleeding and sure enough the main bedroom rad when bled and it had a LOt of air suddenly I could hear the water moving again and went to the two problem rads and they were both working fine. I turned back on all the rads and hey presto we have a full working system, delighted. The forum did say I may have to do this a few times and if it persists it means air is entering by some means but at least I know the system is working now. Thanks for your advice though.
