HTC Wildfire running VibeLite Rom Change Lock Screen & Remove system apps

I have installed VibesLite Rom on my HTC wildfire and would like to remove system apps as well change the lock screen. How would I go about doing this?

Also, is there a replacement text app that is a bit better. whenever I send a message a pop up box appears with loading on it and I cannotuse the phone until the text is sent which takes 2-3 seconds and is annoying when your sending multiple texts.
