Just found out new gf has cold sore – should I break up!?! We've already kissed but I'm afraid to take things further now.

What kind of person breaks up with someone because they have cold sores?

But in fact maybe you should break up because you are clearly not mature enough to be in a relationship.

Cold sore has a rate of frequency that varies from rare episodes to 12 or more recurrences per year. Most sufferers experience one to three attacks annually. The frequency and severity of outbreaks generally decreases over time.

Personally, i don't have a cold sore & most of my friends don't but a few in particular used to get them the whole time.

If I were you & I've avoided it up til now, and you're old enough that you don't kiss a random stranger every weekend, I'd probably consider dumping her tbh.

But, hey, nothing says "i love her" like a cold sore.

LOL harsh but true. I've had cold sores for as long as I can remember (I had them as a child). I might not get them for several years so I'm fortunate that way. OP, don't read too much into what isn't there.

A cold sore is known as herpes simplex and is different to the ones associated with herpes. Almost everyone in Ireland has Herpes simplex.
