If it says on irishrail.ie that the online allocation of tickets is sold out, does that mean that there are still tickets available in the station?

Online bookings usually seem to be limited to 1/2 carriages.

However if they're fully booked out I would be inclined to think that it's obviously going to be a very busy service overall, for whatever reason, and I wouldn't leave it til the last minute to get a ticket in the station.

Yeah, I might head down tomorrow to try to get a ticket for Saturday.

    Thanks.

Last time i tried to book online it was also sold out. Train had loads of space though.

I think they must only allocate so many on line tickets as they are cheaper.

I would expect with the weather that is in it that rail travel would be in heavy demand.
