    Hi.

A client has lyrics and wants original music to it.

How would you price such a thing?

What about copyrights or any royalties? I don't expect this to be on the radio but if I like the result, would like my name to be attached the the music.

    Any ideas?

    Shay.

Hey Shay, I do this all the time. I have at 5 regular customers who I write all the music for (and sometimes melody too). One is just releasing an album before christmas :)

I just give them 100% of the copyright and charge accordingly. I do ask for a mention though.....

Copyright law is 50% for the music, 50% for the lyrics.
