    Hi guys,

Been pricing a speccing a new machine for a family friend. The main thing for her is the screen. She isnt a power user and doesnt need 6GB and Quad i7.

So, any recommendations for a 15" with 1920x1080 and 4GB and i3? Compactness and battery life would be secondary priorities. No HPs please.

    Thanks,
    Lethal.

PS: AMD to be avoided as she'll likely be using AdobePS.

i would phantom a no, as it would not be productive for a manufacturer to make a laptop in a 15 inch chassis with that much res without it being a hard core (gaming) rig

and such a high res is defeating the whole purpose on a 15" screen anyway

1920x1080 on a 15" is madness tbh. I have 1920x1200 that on a 17" and things are small enough, would be almost unreadable at 1920x1080 on 15".

I have come across a HP before with that setup so they do exist but not exactly commonplace. Then again you don't want a HP anyway.. understandable.

Might be some useful info here.

Edit: A 16" rather than 15 but the current Dell Studio 16 has 1080p and pretty nice specs.

That res is madness at that screen size. As has been said i doubt you'd be able to find one anyway. You'd probably find something in between though.
