I assume you'd get them somewhere like The Great Outdoors. I don't know where exactly their shops are apart from the city centre though.

There is a 53 degrees North beside Smyths Toys in Blanchardstown. Might be easier to get to from Meath. There's also a smaller camping store inside the main centre. Good luck. I went arse over tits today on my way home from work. Still have a sore bum :s

53 Degrees North are out of them apparently.

I heard that if you are stuck and need some grips for your shoes, you should pull an old pair of socks over your shoes/boots and that will stop you from slipping. The socks will be destroyed but it would be worth it.

Golf shoes or astro-turf football boots do the trick if you get really stuck. I've also used cable ties with the 'knot' bit on the sole of my shoes for walking in the really compacted snow.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

I bought those traction aids last year from amazon after having a bad fall....oh how every laughed at me then, but now they are all jealous as hell!!
I ordered a few more pairs on Monday and they should be here today or tomorrow.

If you google cleats or traction aids you might be able to get a few hits on places that have them in stock...ring them up and see then if they have them in store or just start ringing around all the local sports/outdoor/camping stores from the golden pages.
I know the Great Outdoors isn't getting them back in till the 7th Dec as I was on their website the other day.
