What to do if a customer doesn't pay invoices?

    Hi,

I'd need a bit of advice... Let's imagine I'm a self-employed French person, registered in France, and did some work for an Irish registered company in the last months. The company won't pay my invoices, I've already asked nicely and seeing the answers it's seems they're just hoping I'll give it up. What would be the way to go to have them pay? I suppose they are under Irish law so I'd have to follow Irish procedures - is there something like a commercial court, etc?

    Many thanks

Commercial court in such cases will accept seisin of a case where €1m or more is at issue and the case is moved promptly.

You need advice from an Irish qualified solicitor. The way to make them pay if they will not is to sue them but decisions need to be taken as to precisely how and in what court, which will require the giving of full instructions to an appropriate solicitor and advice following on from same.

You might not even have to sue them in Ireland although it is likely.

Ok. I'd rather avoid doing that because this is a small sum but times aren't exactly great so...

    Thanks for the answer.
