Can anyone help me with this? I have windows 7 and can't seem to set up a homegroup. Need to set in up so I can play on xbox live. My broadband is o2 if that makes any difference, when I try to set up the homegroup I just get a message telling me to enable IPv6. I have no clue what that is or how to enable it. I've asked on the o2 forums, Daryll tried it but couldn't set it up either. My laptop is out of order at the moment but if anyone could tell me howto set it up I'd be greatful.

Do you not just need your xbox connected to your router to play xbox live?

As far as I am aware only Windows 7 computers can be part of a windows 7 homegroup.

In order to add a new laptop with windows 7 into my existing home network I just used the control panel - system to join the computer to the existing work group and shared whatever folders on the windows 7 computer I wanted.

It should just detect the xbox if both are on the same network

    enable ipv6:

START > "view network connections" > right-click connection and enter Properties > Check box "internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) > OK

If for some reason your network adapter doesnt support ipv6... well, that would be mighty strange. You'd have to check that your router has ipv6 functionality and that it is enabled.
