Hi just wondering if anyone can help me. a few years ago my boyfriend had a game called crash burnout or something like that for the playstation 2. it basically has races in it but there was also a part in the game where you had to crash the car and cause as much damage as possible. he now has a playstation 3 and i was wondering if anyone knows if there is a similar game out for the playstation 3.

The game on the ps2 was burnout takedown I'm sure, I loved that game.
There is a burnout game for the ps3, Burnout Paradise City, it is ok - but I don't think the crash element is as much a part of it as in the game you describe.
There is a lot of freedom in the game however, compared to takedown, and so it is still enjoyable - but I did not enjoy it as much as takedown.
I have never seen another game like it, so can't help you in that regard.

    ^^^^^^ Beat me to it.

Burnout Paradise. But it's a year or more old now. Not sure if there is a more recent one.

Or perhaps it was Burnout Revenge?

I was playing it the other day and still the name has evaded me,

Now I'm thinking it was burnout 3 takedown revenge?

Takedown was the best, if you hit traffic you crashed, since then they made it easier, fail.

There's a crash mode in Burnout Paradise, but Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is waaay better, and it's made by the same team. I'd get that.

They really should remake Destruction Derby. Those games were great.

Your best bet is to go into GameStop/Game and ask for the latest release of Burnout for PS3. All burnout games have similar game modes (racing / takedown / crash ). If you get the latest release of Burnout then you can't go wrong.

You kind of can go wrong though... Burnout Paradise doesn't have a proper crash mode like the previous games, so if you were buying it purely for that you would be disappointed!
Paradise is still a fantastic game, but the new "Showtime" mode was a disappointment compared to the competitive fun of causing the most damage possible in the crash modes of previous games

There's no other option though, Burnout 3 is on 360 alright, but not PS3.
