    It's a semi-decent website, nothing more. It lacks something that I consider fairly basic in a newspaper website: a dedicated page and RSS feed for each of its columnists. As it currently stands, the comments page doesn't even indicate who the writer is, you have to click into the article to find out.

    Who awarded it best website? Was it some reputable body or the Irish Web Awards (the ogra fianna fail special olympics - everyone's a winner - of the smart economy)?

    i use it a lot hard not to, but at best its a newspaper site not a web site

    impressive, it is a very useful site, still i asked about the lack of links and was told this was because there back end production hadn't been upgraded for 15 years!, so we've had to wait 16yrs for the web101, hyperlinks, from the irishtimes, suggestion they might renew it soon so maybe the addition of links will get the online quality that people expect in 2010.
