    Hi folks,

Am considering trying my hand at long netting. Not entirely made my mind up on it as yet, it's something different for me. Saw a thread elsewhere on how to make, or rather assemble, own quick set nets and it's pretty easy. But, where to buy suitable netting  I would be looking for 6 oz netting with 2 inch mesh, 15 meshes deep/high.

I know these type nets can be bought ready assembled, that's not the direction I want to go right now though.

    Any helpful suggestions appreciated :)

    ATVB,

    John

You can get them on ebay!
There not cheap, think around 70 euro, (net only)!
My advise would be to buy the whole set up, their expensive but a lot easier to run compared to a home made one!
Saying that i use the traditional method so maybe its worth a go!
    Seen that thread too john!:D

What DVD is it Mayfly? Thanks for the offer :) Kinda have the assembly of the net figured out from the other thread. Using it is a different story :pac:

Unfortunately I'm not able to splurge, so this is going to be a "as chape as possible" operation :)

Think he means a DVD on net making! i.e spool of nylon, needle, sitting at the fire with the feet up!:D

There's lots of places that sell them but not cheap, think Magnum does them and this place!

Still think Ebay is your best bet, at auction you can get one at a good price!
I prefer 4z in a long net and 6z in purse nets!
What length you thinkin of getting, 25, 50, or 100 yard?

How about Section 34 of the 1976 Wildlife Act?
edit - got it - it does not apply to unprotected mammals, e.g. bunnies.

    Nothin cheap about that!
Almost 90 euro for a 100 yard long net and when you add the VAT its probably over 100 euro!

Same net on ebay delivered to your door for 70 euro!

i think prices include vat, the cheap options were in relation to the smaller nets available.
i know nothing about ebay prices as i have never shopped there, i always try keep money moving in this country myself;)
