sky box issue

    hi folks, i want to put my sky hd box in a cabinet along with my dvd player, but the remote wont work, so i need to extend the ir , can anyone help me out on what extender to use, any help would be great thanks

    The easiest and cheapest way would be to use a Sky eye out of the RF2 socket on the back of the Sky box and just sit it on top of your cabinet. Make sure if you do this that you switch on the 12v power to "on" in the Sky installation menu.
    If you want to be able to control other components then it gets a bit more complicated but if its just the sky box then about 10-15 euro will do it.
