im looking at getting one of these for my parents they have a holiday home and with this cold weather are relying on neighbours to control heat, just wondering if anyone has any experience with it, the heating is the normal setup with a time switch mounted inside and boiler outside in its own surround, is it just a matter of breaking the live connection and putting this in series with it:confused:

Would worry about a product called 'David' in the first place! Wonder why you don't just consider a thermostatic controller (maybe wireless) that triggers the heating on in very cold (i.e. frost) conditions etc.

Firstly as i seem to mention these products in any post I make about controllers I need to state that I have no association and am just a satisfied user.

They might be better off getting a time clock/programmable thermostat with frost protection such as this http://www.heatmisershop.co.uk/products/12v-Network-Programmable-Room-Thermostat-%252d-Heatmiser-PRT%252dN.html
This can be set and left and if the temp in the house drops below say 10 degrees it will kick in.

In time then you may wish to purchase a phone control module such as this http://www.heatmisershop.co.uk/products/Telephone-Remote-Control-%252d-Heatmiser-TR2.html which will read out the temp in the house and you can decide to turn the heating on or off. Although you need a land line for this one.

Nigel thats a very poor first post. Techanically you would be banned for it. Please contribute or PM the user but dont do that again.
