Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Money transfer into Ireland, is it subject to tax?

    Hi everyone,

I've been living and working in the middle east for the past number of years and am now finally nearing the end of my stint. All this time I was saving money in an account over here but I now wish to transfer this money back into my Irish a/c.

I won't go into figures, but its a decent sum (nothing huge or anything) and I'm just wondering whether if I transferred it all at once would I be subject to any taxes for the Irish Government or anything?

Also, is now a bad time to convert a dollar based account into Euros?

    Thanks for your help!
