Moving a Sky box.

    Morning all.

Im heading back to my parents for a week at christmas and im thinking about bringing the Sky box with me.

There is a Sky dish in my parents but no subscription to sky. I tried just bringing the card with me before and using it in an old box but it shut me down after an hour or so.

My question is, if I bring my own sky box from here and plug it in there, will that work?

    Thanks in advance.

It will work no problem.Just make sure it's not a second box that's used for multiroom. If it's your main box it'l be fine.
