*Christy Moore Jokes about your Foot* :D:D;)

With the weather turning bad and the chance of something like last winter happening, i thought i'd ask what extra bits people are putting into the boot, just in case they have to abandon there cars ( might have already started happening:confused: ) or pull there cars out of ditches, holes, walls etc.

Last winter i had to walk home twice, well actually i walked from my home to meet someone and walk them home as they had to abandon there car, and were unprepared for the cold and the walk.

So i my boot i've put
    Good Boots
    Extra socks
A set of heavy combats that i can wear over any pants
Extra hoodie - again kind of large to wear over clothes if it's needed
A high vis Jacket, one of those good quality warm ones, extremely warm, comfy and it's a High Vis too :D
Neoprene anglers gloves, (personal choice) i picked these up in aldi a while back there very warm and you can use your index finger a thumb easily
    Neck warmer
    Hat
    Two torches
A back pack, (keeps most of this stuff tidy) and handy if you need to bring something with you and also last year i slipped on a big sheet of ice while on one of those walks, i had a backpack on, it broke my fall and i pretty certain it stopped me slapping my head off the ice.

Along with the usual bits in my boot, quality First aide kit, strong tow rope (not a crappy one from shops) torch, reflective triangle, jump leads etc, i thing i'm pretty set to walk home if needs be.

    Shane.

Couldnt find any random hitch hikers this morning to fill my boot.. so my tool box and a heavy box of books are weighing down my 318.

Should probably have a shovel in there in case you get stuck. The amount of people getting stuck outside my house that I've had to dig out is unbelievable. I think I'm going to start charging them a tenner.

A full tank of fuel as much as possible and an empty bottle for when you're stuck for hours in traffic on the M50 ;)
