Procrastination: are, or were you guilty of it?

This I find is becoming a big problem for me and i'm starting to worry. I find that some weeks I can become very lazy about studying, and some weeks don't even study at all. However the night before exams or essays, I find myself scrambling to get them done in time, and i'm kind of wondering could this go against me?

Did you procastinate at the very last minute as well while in college or school, or did you spread your work out over the year and study every night?

Did you procrastinate in college / school? 84 votes

Guilty of it all the time...had a college essay last year which I left until the night before and promised myself I would never do it again. Had four due so far this year...3 of which have been done the night before and one which will be done this Tuesday night...I tell myself I work better under pressure though.

Yes, I most certainly am .. and make no apologies for it.

I am sick of these bastards getting away with it and castration is the only thing that will stop them for good.

What, what Pete? Are you asking for castration being an unashamed procrastinist?

If someone says they haven't, it's only 'cause they haven't gotten round to it yet

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Sure, look it. Got nothing better to do tonight, so I will castrate anyone who is keen to get rid of procrastintion.

    Right so.

    Who's first?

I socialized all year and crammed for the last 4 days before exams, 24hrs per day. It worked but is not recommended, unless your social life takes over which is, after all, what Robert Louis Stevenson said college life is all about. Those last 4 days are a horror, though, because I didn't even want to do it then.:D

One year I did study 3 nights a week and got 2nd place in the year. Was it worth it? Not for one minute. I missed out on so much!

Big time OP. Its very hard to resist. You just need to figure out how much procrastination you can get away with. Its all damage limitation.

In which case, you may avoid the penalty of castration. However, you must keep note, while I sleep, of those requiring castration for the sins of procrastination, so I can levy out justice tomorrow!;)

I was and still am a hopeless procrastinator. What's worrying (if I could worry) is how unworried I get about these things now. I used to get in a panic the night before an assignment was due and stay up all night completing it. Now, I'm in work with an hour before it's due and I'm thinking - meh, I still have time.

Look it, take your place in queue for castration.

Once I sort out this press I'll get onto it. I swear.

Yeah grand, if it gets me away from this assignment. I didn't want to do this assignment so much, I procrastinated by doing a different assignment.
