i am a sky customer, i have sky+ box and basic package. i bought a sky digibox and connected one of the sky cables from the sky plus box to it to check if it was working, i received all of the standard sky free view channels. I ran a satellite cable from my sky dish to the digibox, when i powered on the box i am getting the message 'No satellite signal is being received'. Why am i getting this message?
I checked the new installed cable by connecting it to the sky+ box and it is working fine. Can sky shut down the second digibox? I did not have the digibox connected to a phone line. is it possible to run 2 seperate sky boxes from the one satellite dish? should i buy a different satellite receiver box which i can use with the sky dish?
    Anyone got any ideas?

Ideally you need a quad LNB so that you can retain the + facility. You can then run a cable from the quad unit to your 2nd box. Unless the box is knackered, then you should get all thr FTA channels. Beeb 1 will be ch 101.

Check the connections on the cable you ran to the box, could be something as simple as that seeing as how the other connections to the Sky+ are fine.
