Cleaning a black leather sofa

We recently had our attic converted and it involved a lot of plastering.

I basically had most of the furniture covered with sheets for the duration, but I totally forgot to cover the leather sofa and my Laz-e-boy.

Any good tips/products for cleaning leather?

    Thanks.

Buy some saddle-soap with lanolin to clean and feed the leather (saddlers or out-door adventure shop)

There is a distinct possibility that the plaster has bleached / burned the dye out of the leather. All I can recommend here is spot application of shoe dye after cleaning (shoe-repair shop )

Many thanks - there's an equestrian shop down the road - I'll try them when myself, my car and the road thaws out.

Ive been restoring leather for years now and the only thing i would recommend to you would be to buy a good waterbased foam cleaner. Saddle soap is not be the best for home furniture it might damage the finish.

Know this is an old thread, but could you suggest a brand name & where to buy ?
