I Tried scanning for DTT yesterday for the first time (DVB-T card in my PC).

I can get TV3 and TG4 From Mount Leinster with a roof mounted UHF ariel so I was curious to see if DTT was available (Laois Kilkenny border).

I could not get anything, so I hope it is down !! otherwise no DTT for me.

    Try different software.

    What software are you using?
    Spec of PC
    OS version and Service packs
    BDA driver?
    make /model of card?

15 month old ALDI Desktop running windows 7

    Using media center

    Card is apparently

    NXP Semiconductors Germany GmbH

Creatix type - SAA713x Based - BDA TV Capture Driver

works for both analogue and Sat

Mount Leinster is/has been rock solid for me, I've never recall having problems with reception other than when I was messing around. I'm using a Televes Dat 75 mounted in the loft feeding 3 Windows XP Mediapotal HTPC's

    SAA713x is analogue. Not DTT.

If it does satellite, that is DVB-S, not DTT. Maybe the card doesn't do DTT
it's under €30 inc post for a dual tuner

The manual for the PC says it does

    Analog
    DVB-T
    DVB-S

I can confirm Analog and Satellite work

ALDI/LIDL PC's use Creatix Tuners cards, larsta most likely has a CTX948 in his/her PC which does do DVT-S/T and analogue - http://www.creatix.com/produkte/multimedia/datenblatt/CTX948%20V1%20Specification.pdf

@ larsta the frequency used by Mount Leinster is 666000 kHz. Are you using Window7 or Vista Media centre, can you enter in the frequency manually ?

If you are getting TV3 and TG4 analogue you should get DTT.

Our DTT is up and down like a yo-yo - no quality problems when its on, just seems to lose signal every couple of days. Tried retuning to see if it would pick up on a different channel but it didn't - paused on (I think) channel 22 but found all stations on Ch 45. Was watching the news this evening and it just went.

LG 19" tv with MPEG4 tuner, feeding from aerial in attic, in New Ross (so have line of sight to Mt Leinster)

I haven't had a signal from Mt Leinster since the before weekend but then I don't always use the DTT signal.

I've just checked and it is back for the moment.

The signal is flucuating for me aswell. I use an indoor aerial so just moved it slightly to improve the signal and stop the picture break up.

Is anyone having issues with DTT from Mt Leinster today? I'm getting nothing at the moment - my location South Leinster.
