    Hey,
Im a bit of an idiot when it comes to computers, and I'm tearing my hair out with a problem so I hope someone can help me out!
I've got an Acer Extensa 5220 laptop, running XP. I realised the problem when my laptop couldnt find or connect to the broadband in my house in college. When my roomates turned their laptops on it found the broadband automatically and connected to it with no problems but my laptop couldnt find it. I was told to look in Device Manager and there is a yellow exclamation mark on 'Network Controller'.
I looked around on the internet and someone recommended to use http://halfdone.com/ and download the unknown devices file, which would tell me what drivers I'm missing. I tried that and it listed:
    -Broadcom Corp BCM4310 USB Controller
    -Foxconn International Inc
    under the Network Controller heading.
I tried looking for the Broadcom thing but the one I tried said my system doesnt support it! I'm kinda stumped as to where to go from here, or if I did it all wrong.
We've got a 3 dongle at home (where I am now) which gets me on the internet just fine so I can connect to the internet and download whatever's necessary to fix things.
If anyone has literally ANY ideas I'd be delighted!
