Windows 7 Media Center playing back recordings

    Hi All,
    Hopefully someone can help me.

I am building a windows 7 HTPC, and have installed Windows 7 professional.

I purchased an EyeTv diversity USB DTT to receive Irish DTT stations. Media center correctly found all expected channels, and I can view Live TV pretty much perfectly.

Recording a program seems to work correctly, the PC comes out of hibernation and records the correct program. However, playing back that program only results in a black screen being displayed - the program appears to be playing (in that the time elapsed increases), but the actual video is not displayed. I can't comment on audio as of right now i need to get an optical cable to hook into my TV.

The PC is connected over HDMI to a Samsung 26" TV.

    Any help or thoughts welcomed,
    Thanks
    Sean
