Appreciate any help with this, just moved into a new apartment and have Dimplex DuoHeat Radiators.

Ive had a look at the operating manual and it says i set the heat by setting the 'flashing bar' on the rad. Thats fine, ive done all that, my problem is its on all the time?

Does this heat up at night and then just emit heat during the day, or is it doing it all the time? It takes ages to heat up when it hasnt been on so ive no option but to leave it on i think. Is there a better way to regulate it?

However there's 2 switch's on the wall one for the fuse and another one, do i use one of these to regulate the heat?

Thanks again for any help on this, just dont want a massive electricity bill when it comes in, still have to heat the place though!!

    Short and Sweet.

Turn on both switches, Duoheat are designed to be left on at all time according to the manual.

If you press to + or - minus buttom you are increasing the front panel output which gets power at all times. If you hold the + button until it reaches full and then for another ten seconds it will change after flashing. This sets the charge level of the off peak section of the heater. Set it too max and see how it goes tomorrow, once you set the off peak level leave it alone and after 30 seconds it will return to the peak i.e. front panel setting and will be set automatically to half. You can then adjust the peak i.e. using power now setting to set the heat out put of the front of the duoheat unit.

    Hello!
Many thanks for the approach. It's very useful !
My only question now is: what's the second switch on the wall for?
As it was mentioned above, there are 2 switches on the wall - 1 is for the fuse and the other does nothing as per what I could test. Although in my flat, this second switch says "night" ...

Should we be using this switch to regulate the peak times at all?

    Many thanks!

You have two switches the one without a fuse is only powered when your night rate electricity kicks in after 11pm, this charges the storage part. The switch with the fuse is for the panel heater part that can be used 24 hours a day. Hope this helps.

But no you shouldn't touch the switches, just leave them on all the time. Control the heater using the controls as listed above.
