It doesn't matter where you are in Bombay, you're overlooking a slum of some description. It still has some of the worlds most expensive property, though.

Sure it may seem over the top to build such a luxurious home in the heart of the slums but he's obviously worked his ass off and wants to stay in the City.

He doesn't have much choice but to build up instead of out (like a traditional mansion) there's just no space for it, unless he wants to displace millions of people so he can have a very wide house and gardens.
