Kittens Sneezing but Otherwise OK?

    Hi again,

One of kittens started sneezing yesterday, not very often, but now today the pair of them are sneezing. Again, not too often, but when they do there is a bit of a clear "discharge" (we have noticed because they are still wearing their cone-collars after being spayed and so it's quite obvious after a sneeze). Now other than that they are both in good form (at least when they are out of the collars! Still not too happy about having to wear them.), they are both eating and drinking normally, using the litter tray, etc. There is no discharge from their eyes or nose. In the last hour we've noticed that Lightning (who only started sneezing today) seems a bit warm; her ears are slightly warm which we know could mean she has a bit of a fever, but still other than that she seems in good form and has no other symptoms. They are both indoor cats so they couldn't have caught anything from other cats.

Now, we are going to the vets with them on Monday to get their stitches removed so we'll definitely ask the vet anyway, but in the mean time I was just wondering if sneezing on it's own is OK or is it a sign of something worse? Are we looking at needing to get anti-biotics or could it be OK? We were thinking maybe their noses were irritated by using the litter tray with the cones on as we use the wood chip litter, and thought maybe the dust was the cause, but now that Lightning seems a bit warm we're not too sure (not too sure if that could cause irritation anyway.).

We just want to make sure they are OK so any advice is appreciated.

If its infrequent i wouldnt be too concerned yet. Is there any eye discharge or are they watery? Definitely mention it to the vet on Monday. They sound like they'll be fine until then imo.

Their eyes are fine, not watery and no discharge, their noses look fine too, not runny or anything, but they are sneezing a bit more often now this evening.

In eating at the moment so their appetite hasn't been affected. Lightning seems to have cooled down too, her ears feel much much cooler now.

Hopefully it's nothing serious. As I said they don't have any other symptoms and seem to be in good form (when out of the cones), other than the sneezing.

Will still say it to the vet and keep a close eye on them.
