    Link doesn't work.

As for smart-chargers; you can pick them up from Irish retailers (I gave eirsoft and SE-Airsoft a cursory glance to give you an idea) or component-shop for between €8-20 depending on how much you want to spend and how quickly you want the battery to charge. Bottom line, you can get chargers for not an awful lot of money so insisting that your AEG has a freebie-charger is a bit like cutting off your nose to spite your face for what otherwise might be a very good AEG/price. Bear in mind most non-clone (read: mid/high end) AEGs never came with chargers or batteries; it was the clone manufacturers who did that and ... well ... good luck getting a clone (cheap or otherwise) these days.

This should tick all the boxes for you. Its G&G, so its cracking out off the box. http://www.eirsoft.ie/aeg/assaultrifles/gandg-combat-machine-rk47-combo-includes-2nd-mag-free.html.

I'm not the most informed person on all things Kalashnikov - so Puding, FireKitten, or Stercius, etc. can correct me here but you may want to consider what you're looking for?

Do you want an AK-47? or an AK74/AKMS/something modern? or a chinese Type56? etc.

Action Hobbies (UK): CYMA AK74 RIS, unfortunately out of stock.

    Have a look around.

edit: have a look on HobbyAirsoft.ie; dunno if in stock either. If it's a CYMA, dunno how easy it'll be to find since CYMA are a clone manufacturer *

*the issue with clone availability is well documented at this stage.

Some clone brands are good value for money, rivalling some of the more established names in terms of quality and price. But, they can have their lemons, and there have been severe problems regarding the Chinese authorities clamping down on everything (airsoft is technically illegal in mainland China) and raiding airsoft factories for the last year. Bottom line, clones are difficult to get - whenever a batch does make its way out of China - and their price has gone up as a result - with net effect making them less appealing over more established brands on price. Currently, there is little sign of this situation changing any time soon (if it ever goes back to the way it was at all - and I doubt that)

A clone is a copy. They are good to start with. Its just when you put them up against a G&G, VFC or a G&P aeg you will see the difference. My first aeg was a clone. I still have it and use it from time to time.

I find you get better value for money, when you buy high end stuff.

There is no single best gun. What there is, is a best gun for you & your purposes. So here's a string of questions:

    - What do you want from the AEG? (e.g. Looks, Good quality externals, High Performance, Rate of Fire, Cheap, Real Wood, Full Metal etc)
    - What's your budget? How much are you willing to spend
    - Would you like to upgrade it in the future? AK's can be apparently hard to work on (I don't personally own any, nor have I worked on any so cannot speak personally) - so if you intend on working on it, the more user friendly the better

There are other questions, but I'm tired now. Basically with more information, those who know more can give you much more educated opinions. Sticking out in my memory are VFC, SRC and Kalash

I know the place, i was their twice. If you are going to spend 250 on a aeg, see if you can try some other brands and types eg M4s G36s. Dont rush into, buying the first thing you see.

You will find for you budget, their are far better Aegs than the one you would like out their.

At the end off the day, the choice is your, but i would hold out for a little longer and do a little bit more research, into the sport and the equipment needed.

would not really say that, two screws and you can normally have an gearbox out of a cyma ak ( or any ak with vfc style construction for that matter )
and with the motor being attached to the gearbox on the v3 gearbox i find it far easy to work on than an m4/m16 for example

the issue is that as far as i can recall the model linked to is the older cyma model which uses the TM style of construction which is a little more complicated to work on

i would recommend picking up one of the new cyma models a good one to look at would be the AIMs as the quality is far higher than the old model but for around the same price http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/cyma-aims-pmc-airsoft-aeg-cm-050a.html

cyber gun also rebrand this model so a lot of the irish shops should be able to pick the cyma or cybergun version up still

i did a review of the akm version, although cosmetically different internals and construction information all still valued when talking about the aims

    .

I have a ak and a m4. I use the m4 as my primary, its a g&g raider. Check out eirsoft, they have a nice range off them. Their light, good rate off fire, nice range. It can easly out shoot the cyber gun ak.

If i am back home and playing i will give you a shot off it. (I am from Inagh)

I know what you are saying about a folding stock, it comes in quite handy. Esp for cqb.

On the issue of upgradeing, give it time. It will happen. Also theirs no need to shout:p.

i owned a jg full metal tactical ak47 for over two years and used it alot and i couldnt have been happyier with it.It never broke or needed a service in anyway.I couldnt fault it in any way.But after over two years I wanted something as close to real steel as i could get and so I picked up the real sword type 56-2 and what a difference .There was nothing wrong with the jg but it was so real sword. Its a small bit over your budget but you wont regret it.

You can increase and decrease the size of a M4 stock, thus makeing it bigger or smaller. On the smallest setting it is, smaller than a ak with its stock extended.

As i said, next time your playing borrow a m4 and see what its like.
