Listen, you're getting naked on that little island by the river in Carlow town. It's the only Carlow landmark I know of because I've only been there once and it was awesome drinking there.
I don't care what the poll says. You're doing it.

As for the AH Christmas beers, the best person to talk to about this is Degsy.
He'll sort out a good venue for everyone.

As for it being in Dublin, the majority of people live there (per head of population and by percentage of AH users). Get over it.
There are regional forums for regional beers. I believe the Galway one is always quite successful because they don't spend their time bitching about a location in AH.
I live in Kildare, but I'll be ****ed if I'm going to a Kildare beers. It would most probably be in Naas, and it's easier for me to get to Dublin than it is to get to Naas.

Want a Waterford beers? Go to the Waterford forum. Want a Dublin beers? Go to the Dublin forum.
Want an AH beers? It's going to happen in Dublin whether you like it or not.

Might I suggest the 11th, and get Degsy to sort the venue?

As for an all emcompassing boards beers, that's gone out the window because too many people can't handle their drink and some have turned violent over the years.
Boards can't and won't be responsible for that, so it's all seperate forum beers these days, with no official link to boards.

If anyone is really interested, then I would suggest contacting the AH mods, asking for a week long poll relating to a date, and then trying to hook up with the likes of tGC, tLL, BGRH and the other social forum to get the numbers up and ensure a successful night.

I'll offer to talk to the others if the rest of you can keep from killing each other over the fact that this is going to happen in Dublin and not in Fermoy, Tullamore or Cootehill.

Terry, your kind of scary :o

Although, just because the majority of people live in Dublin, doesnt mean the majority of people going to the AH beers does.. A Poll would probably be best

I would go, but if I was to accidentally collide with someone, it may result in the destruction of the universe, so I think I'll give it a miss this year.
