    Hi

I have removed the lock nuts form 2000 Alfa GTV and have not repaced them yet. It failed the NCTtoday (saturday) because of a missing nut on each front wheel. Frustrating because they were there for teh initial test and tehy said they would just check the failed bits.

I have 1 day (because i had a re-test and tomorrow is the last day) to let them re-inspect at no cost.

Is there anyone around Swords/north county dublin that can give me two compatible nuts tomorrow :) AFAIK 156 nuts won't fit.

There is a 19" head and a thin thread.

    Do you have a GTV ?? :)

    Cheers

Can you not get something that fits from Halfords (they sell Lock nuts) or a Tire fitters (normal nuts)? I assume he GTV is Nuts not bolts as you say.

You really shouldnt be driving missing 2 nuts on the wheels anyhow, there is a reason you are failing the NCT because of it.

I'll check Halfords but it's a hard thread to come by.

    It's actually a bolt

There's 5 of them in each wheel and 4 is more than aqequate to hold a the wheel on.

Edit....checked halfords 40euro for locking bolts!
