    Hey all,

I bought a new laptop today, an Acer Aspire however I cannot get the sound to work.

The sound seems to be working fine however none comes out of the speaker.

I've checked the settings and everything is ok, no faults detected however I still can't get it to work.

Its not muted before anyone asks :)

Any help I have no idea

Did you try a pair of headphones.

Click on Windows icon go to Control Panel.

Hardware and Sound - > Sound

What devices do you have in the playback tab.

Make sure the sound drivers are installed by right clicking on Computer,
Clicking on Device Manage on the left hand side and look for any entries with exclamation marks or red X's

Ya tried headphones but still no sound

In hardware and sound it says I have realtech audio device installed and that it is fully functioning.

Where is device manager. I'm not familiar with windows 7

    Thanks
