So I need to practice the basics as I haven't driven in a while. Had a few lessons so I need to get some practice stopping & starting.. Does anyone know anywhere I can?? Like a big empty carpark or something.. Tried Renmore but there were a lot of cars etc around..

The Black Box car park is usually pretty empty after office hours (and before the child-racers arrive). You should be ok between 7 and 10ish or earlier on a Sunday.

Merlin Park hospital is used a lot. Pretty much empty in the evenings and weekends.

The claregalway business park is always very quite execpt at the weekend because of the market. It is quite big and has proper road markings in it such as stop signs , I practised there and it was very helpful

Bumped over to Learning to drive so other learners can use these spots too.
Most industrial areas are empty at the weekends and good for practising.

There's an industrial estate in Glasnevin where Woodies is. Always empty on weekends.

Yeah that's the one, It's in the Finglas/Glasnevin Area. There's also another Industrial Estate in Swords, about 10 minutes from the Airport.

I might try the latter whenever I get a chance, closer to home! Thanks for the help.
