Photmerge in CS4

    Hi all,

Just a quick question about the photomerge in CS4.
Lately, any time I run the process, it brings in all the pics, moves them around, masks them, produces the stitched image, and then just closes.
I've been reading around on the internet and it seems to be a problem with 64bit OS. I'm operating Windows 7 (64 bit), 4gb RAM and 1GB Graphics card.

Has anyone on here had this issue before, or know of a possible solution?

Im currently using Microsoft ICE, but its not as good as PS, and leaves bits of ghosting etc., I'd much prefer to be able to use the one in PS if possible.

    Cheers
    :D

I've had this problem on and off for the past few versions. All of a sudden photomerge just stopped working. This is on three different computers. What I do now is bring them into photoshop, manually move them around as close as I can, select all layers and then go 'Edit' -> 'Auto-Blend Layers..." choose Panoramic and it works perfectly.

I almost prefer this to the photomerge feature when it worked.

Let me know how you get on with that!

I recently did a merge in CS4 with 25 images and it worked a treat so no probs for me on Vista

KJT, i tried moving them around manually before, but it takes a while depending on the number of pics, much more into the automated processes to be honest :D

    Mikeanywhere,

Im using windows 7, had previously used PS on vista and never had a problem, and even for the first month or so with 7, it worked fine, then one day it just stopped, and its very annoying, especially when it does all the work and then just closes the image
