Help with Tax!!

Hoping someone can help me with this please-am working in an office 2 days a week-€148 a week. Receiving job seekers for the other 3 days. Have been doing a bit of extra typing for someone else from home on the side. Its rare that I get it and have no way of predicting how much money I will make. The woman who did the typing job before me used to pay her tax at the end of the year, seemingly she sent an email/letter in saying how much she'd earned and I suppose they calculated it for her. But my friend has told me that if I'm making less than €5000 a year then I don't need to declare it as extra income-its the equivalent of doing something like babysitting. Does anyone know if this is right or what I should do?? Please help!!:(

You need to declare all extra income as far as I'm aware.

Agreed, can't see you having to pay too much tax.
