Check out Zara. I got this one recently and it's sooo cosy! The only problem is that the hood is like a little rain cap and it's stored in a pouch inside the jacket. They did have others that were similar, but with an attached hood.

thanks for the link. i was told the coat should have 80% wool in it. is that statement right?

I am also looking for a coat. Really want a puffa either to above knee or waist. The Zara one would have been perfect except I do not want a belt on it. Has anyone seen one like it anywhere?

As for the wool, I think for the winter you might be better looking for something that is waterproof. 80% wool would be very cosy but might not be also waterproof.

The belt s detachable on that one above.

+1 for water proof. Wool will not keep you as dry.

look through the coats on there. Loads of wool ones as well as parka/puffa types too.

Got this exact one in the Levi outlet store in Kildare Village for €27 last week. It is really really warm. Was very glad of it in the snow today. :)
