I found aun unopened clay stlye jar with the cork lid of "moutarte de meaux". "Pommery".

It went out of date on sept 1996.

Do I try and eat it? Has it matured like a fine wine?

I haven't opened it yet. I must get some quality ham to test it with. I'll try and get it done over the weekend and report back.

"Once made into a prepared mustard, it can lose flavor after a few months, not [sic] matter how its stored."

So it'll either taste crap, kill you or both.

    Avoid.

I'm on the 'taste it - sure whats the worst that can happen' side of the fence.

Go for it - you might discover something new!!
