Does anyone have any idea what bussed go to/near Leinster Rd. or Grosvenor Lane in Rathmines please? I'm going there tomorrow and for the past few days have been looking at buses, but am still lost.

I have looked on Dublin Bus website, but the buses I've found to go Upper/Lower Rathmines Road, Palmerston Park/Kennilworth Road/Rathgar Road etc, none for the two roads I need to go to.

I am unfamiliar with the area so any help appreciated, thanks.

83 is your best bet. Straight down Grosnevor road and Kenilworth road.

Grosvenor Lane is half way up Leinster Road so any bus that gets you into Rathmines will sort you out. Get off at the Swan centre, walk the 50 metres to the Town Hall, take a left at the lights and you are sorted.

A 16/A or 49 from Harolds Cross will also do you; get off after the Greyhound Stadium and walk down Leinster Road from the Cross Bar pub.

For street numbers near 70 go to the Harold's Cross end, for low numbers go to the middle of Leinster Road.

No buses operate on Leinster Road since the old 47/a were withdrawn. One bus shelter remains.

Don't trust the names on the google (unless confirmed on street view) and bing maps.

I am looking for somewhere between no. 30-40, any idea where abouts this is? And which stop to get off at for this one? Or would any of the above stops be ok

It would appear to be near Grosvenor Lodge. However, the stret numbers on teh lane appear to be duplicates of hte numbers on Leinster Road and Grosveror Square, so there may be some duplications. I'm fixing the links above.

We're about a decade or two too late for the old 47/47B. Those routes actually operated right on Leinster Road and Grosvenor Place when they used to run to Ballyboden, Whitechurch, Tibradden, Rockbrook and Grange Road. Took a few right and left turns in the vicinity, but at least the junction of Lower/Upper Rathmines Road and Rathgar Road was avoided.

Got the 83 bus from D'olier St, one/two stops later on College St, it broke down lol so we got the next 83. We got off at the stop just beside/after Portobello Bright (Beside a Spar/Centra) and walked up to Leinster Rd and found the place I was looking easily enough (although I had to ask a few people for directions lol).
