Need help cutting my hair.

My current hair is awful, in both colour and cut, so I really want a change. I've ordered the rainbow pack from here: http://haircrazy.com/product/stargazer-r… Which is great value, when you consider that it would be more expensive to buy the dyes separately - even on ebay!

This is my horrible hair now:

Since I've bought the dye, I cant afford to get my hair cut, so I'm going to do it myself. I've cut my own fringe before, and I'm pretty confident at it, but I'd still feel better with some advice for the more complex cut that I want.

Please dont attempt to cut your own hair! :eek:
Im a trainee hairdresser and i have seen what happens when people try to cut there own hair

Why not ring your local hair salons and get an appointment t be a model for classes? they are nearly always free and us trainees are ALWAYS short of people who want to try out funky hairstyles!

No matter how bad you think your hair is I think you should wait until you get the money together to see a professional, I have cut my own hair several types and it's been 50/50 bad and good either times. If I hated the way my hair was styled I would ask a hair dresser especially because you looking for a pixie style, they don't tend to suit everyone.

You CANNOT cut your hair into that style yourself, Trevor Sorbie himself couldn't cut that style into his own hair! Ring all your local salons and offer yourself as a model for the trainees. You are a beautiful girl, please don't hack your hair off yourself! Goodluck

lol, OK maybe I should have clarified : I'm going to cut my own hair. I hate my hair now, and I don't want to be stuck with it until well after Christmas when I'd have the money. I appreciate the concern, but its just hair. If I screw it up then I'll laugh it off and tell people I tried, and failed to cut it myself. I don't really mind if I mess it up, but I hate leaving the hairdressers with a cut I didn't ask for.

As for me not suiting a pixie cut - My current hair is a grown out pixie cut, and its the longest hair I've had in over 3 years. I love my short hair, since my small face gets hidden in longer hair. So I'm not worried about the style suiting me, just about how I could go about cutting it.

I wont be trying for about a week anyway, but I will be trying, no matter how many people on the internet tell me not to - I'm very stubborn that way!:cool:
