    Hey All,

Looking for some help to solve only problem cropping up with wedding next March. OK so I am living in Donegal and we getting married up here, my best man and dad live in kerry and 2 groomsmen live in cork, I want to hire the suits up here but am stuck as the lads wont be up until the night b4 the wedding which is a friday. Im lookin for a nationwide supplier so each of us can get measured in our own county and the suit brand and colour get faxed through to my place and i collect them all the day before.

So dunno what to do now at this stage, only option at the mo is do it at stag weekend in january which is Galway so then could have them collect the suits on the way up for the wedding.?

Debenhams in Derry??? That way rest of boys can get measured up in any store in country & they'll forward the measurements to Derry. They are cheaper than most of the other places too- I couldn't go with them as I need grey suits & page boy & they don't do PB suits.

Most places will take measurements over the phone but if suits are wrong or incorrect they accept NO responsibility- big risk to take!

i don't know if it helps we are using these guys for our wedding,

    http://www.tom-murphy.ie/

the suits are all online so you can browse and pick them yourself and the shop is in cork city so the cork two can get measured there, should also only be around an hours drive for the ones in kerry if they need to get measured, they could all collect them and bring them with them on the day.

just an idea i had when i saw your post! hope it helps! :)

To be honest, if there are 4 people from Munster, why would you drag them up to Donegal to measure/rent the suits? Would it not make more send for you to travel down to Munster one weekend and hire all the suits there, that way only 1 person is inconvenienced vs 4 ??

We had 1 dad in Mayo, 1 dad and 2 GM in Cork and no groom's suit. We centralised operations in Dublin as everyone was up visiting for different reasons - make things as easy as possible for people if you can, at the end of the day, they are helping you out by being part of the bridal party :)

    +1

After the wedding then, the best man can take the suits back down to Munster.

The problem with getting measurements done and faxed up is that measurements are often on the generous side to allow for last-minute adjustments - a long leg is easier to pin up then a short leg is to drop. Chances are if you do this blind, someone's pants and someone's jacket won't fit right.

Kimono-Girl also has a good suggestion there; The groom's suit doesn't need to be the same as the groomsmens'. So if you get the lads to all get one suit of the same type, you can get yours locally.
