The Nokian WRG2 is a TyreReviews favourite, with near universal praise. While classified as a winter tyre it has excellent dry weather properties making it particularly suited the UK’s climate.

I followed that thread as well, but I wouldn't be so sceptic.
I have Nokian W+ myself and I'm very happy with them.
I've done over 12k kms last winter on them, in really different conditions. (dry tarmac at 15degrees, fast driving on motorway in heavy rain, lots of driving in all kinds of snow - from soft and fresh, to old and frozen, deep or shallow, and obviously on ice as well). Tyres are really good. Actually I tested them over what they were made for, as their speed index is T (to 190km/h) and I was driving at 200 - 210 km/h for a good while on them without any problems.
In general - I would advice these tyres to anyone.

From the list you showed, I wouldn't pick up anything.
    At that price only Nokians.

If you definitely don't want them, try Debica Frigo Directional (on your list for 44.70). They are very good brand, made together with goodyear tyres on the same production lines, using the same materials. You'll save over 60 quid on a set comparing to the ones you proposed, and the quality will be better.

But anyway - don't be affraid of nokians. We still don't now for sure if it was tyre's fault, or maybe the garage who installed it (what happened to cormie).

Dont judge by 1 incident, theres more accidents with other brands ...

Winter tires are way noisier than summer tires because of the softer rubber and thread on them. Nokians are 1 of the quieters in winter tires range.

Irish road surface is generally very sharp, which causes tyres to wear down very quickly.
After 12k kms, there's about half of thread left in front ones, and about 2/3 in the rear ones.
Only 2.5k kms was done in Ireland, but I reckon, almost half of what is gone, went then (in Ireland). On the Continent roads are much more smooth, and tyres don't wear down that fast. Especially when you drive on snow or ice, tyres barely wear down at all.

I'd say if you drive slowly and gently, you should be able to do about 15k - 20k kms on a set in Ireland. But if you like to step on a gas, and especially if you drive a lot on bendy narrow Irish country roads (expecially in the West), I wouldn't expect them to last more then 8k - 10k kms.

I'm planning to use them againt this winter, but that's the reason why I'm really saving them to use only on Continent (I'm going in less then two weeks for month or two), but I'll probably wait for the last moment to fit them, just to save some thread ;)

I am thinking of buying the Nokian W+ tyres. How are you guys getting on with them.

Did you buy them of eiretyres or a dealer, if a dealer where and how much did they cost.

If you got them from eiretyres how much did it cost to get them fitted. Also are you guys using them in the summer, if you can call it that...

Lastly, is there a certain way to fit them, just wondering looking at the guys blow out, he mentioned he may not have fit them properly or something like that.

    Thanks for help in advance...

I have Vredstein Wintrac4 Extreme winters that I got from camskill, I had them on the car until May, there was very little wear on them in ~15,000km after I had them taken off. I got them fitted in a local place for €50.
